Calling all first year Modern Linguists!

The Oxford University Language Centre Library has one of the largest collection of materials for language learning in the UK (covering around 150 languages), and it is now a lending library. It houses large stocks of DVDs in many languages, as well as the usual materials for language learning (audio, video, CALL, print) and past oral exam papers. While everyone at Oxford is entitled to use the Language Library, you do have to register as a user and take an induction tour before using or borrowing materials. There are library induction tours every weekday at 10.00am and 2.00pm - there is no need to book, just turn up five minutes before the start.

In order to encourage new Modern Languages students to visit the library and take an induction tour, the Language Centre is offering a £30 Blackwell’s voucher to the first year Modern Languages student whose name is drawn first from those who register and take an induction tour before the end of Week 3 (Friday, 26th October).
