Information for the end of term

Vacation loans begin on Monday 1 December - any Keble Library books borrowed or renewed by undergraduates on or after this date will be due back on Wednesday 21 January 2015 (i.e. Wednesday of 1st week of Hilary Term).

Books borrowed by undergraduates during Michaelmas Term are due back on Wednesday 3 December - please make sure you have returned or renewed your books by this date.

Don't forget that you can still access Oxford University e-resources while you are away for the vacation by logging into SOLO or OxLIP+ with your Single Sign On username and password. Further information on remote access to resources is available on the Bodleian Libraries website here.

Bodleian iSkills: Mendeley for Reference Management

There are still places available at the last iSkills workshop of the term, which takes place on Friday 28 November, 9.15-12.15, at IT Services, 13 Banbury Road. 

Mendeley is a reference management package that helps you build libraries of references and then add citations and bibliographies to word processed documents.

Who is this session for? Postgraduates, researchers, academics and undergraduates wishing to use reference management software.

The course is free to attend, but you will need to book a place in advance via the IT Services website.

Research Skills Toolkit workshops

Run jointly by the Bodleian Libraries and IT Services, these free hands-on workshops for research students offer the opportunity to learn about a broad range of resources in one time-efficient session. The workshops take place in 8th week of Michaelmas Term and 1st week of Hilary Term.

Each two-hour session focuses on the skills and tools that will streamline your academic work. You will encounter a variety of online tools and services to support your research. Relevant software, online services and libraries techniques are on offer for you to try out. You will also meet with subject specialists for help and guidance on further training.
